Clair Flow is a Mac dictation app built for one outcome: speak naturally, and get clean writing back in the app you are already using. Here is what does the work.
Native in-app insertion
Hold a hotkey, speak, and the cleaned-up text is inserted straight into the frontmost app — your editor, browser, chat, email, or notes. There is no separate dictation window and no copy-paste round trip. You stay where you were already working.
Cloud cleanup for send-ready prose
Clair Flow does not hand you a raw transcript. Your speech is transcribed and then run through an LLM cleanup pass that removes filler, fixes phrasing, and adds structure and punctuation. What lands is writing you can send, not a draft you have to rewrite.
A personal glossary for your vocabulary
This is the core of what makes Clair Flow accurate for real work. Teach it your product names, service names, acronyms, and technical terms, and cleanup respects them every time — so domain-specific writing comes out right instead of autocorrected into nonsense.
Push-to-talk or hands-free
Use a global hotkey for push-to-talk when you want a quick burst, or hands-free mode when you are dictating something longer. Clair Flow is a native macOS menu bar app, so it is always one shortcut away without taking over your screen.
Account-backed sign-in and device management
Sign in through your browser, and each Mac you connect gets its own device credential. Manage your devices, downloads, billing, and dictation history from the account dashboard. Device credentials are stored hashed on the server and can be revoked at any time.
Privacy-aware by design
Microphone capture and text insertion happen locally on your Mac. Raw audio is processed during a dictation session and is not stored afterward. Transcript text is kept to support session recovery until you delete it — and you can delete your dictation history yourself from the dashboard. See the privacy summary for the full picture, including the named subprocessors that operate parts of the service.
