Clair Flow for Mac ships small, frequent releases. This page lists what changed in customer terms. The newest version is always available from the Mac download page, and the app’s built-in update check will let you know when a new release is ready.

1.0.31 — June 12, 2026

A reliability-focused release for dictation sessions on imperfect networks:

  • Brief network hiccups while you dictate no longer cancel the session — audio delivery now retries automatically.
  • If inserting your text fails (for example, the target app loses focus), the transcript is kept and offered for retry instead of being lost.
  • After a connection error, recording now stops immediately instead of lingering while the app checks for a recoverable transcript.
  • If your preferred microphone is unplugged, Clair Flow falls back to the system microphone for that dictation instead of failing.
  • Clearer error message when your dictation shortcut conflicts with another app.

  • The on-screen dictation indicator no longer shows account details while it fades out.

A series of releases focused on making text insertion more dependable when you move between apps:

  • More reliable insertion when your dictated text lands in a different app than the one you started in.
  • Fixed cases where a text field’s placeholder hint could be duplicated into the inserted text.
  • Your clipboard contents are now restored correctly after Clair Flow inserts text.
  • The target window is brought forward before insertion so text lands where you expect.

  • More reliable text insertion when you switch apps mid-dictation.

  • You stay signed in after updating: fixed an issue migrating saved device credentials.
